What to sell & where to start
In our kick-off session we’ll discuss what you each plan to sell, and where you’ll start in terms of your strategy and approach. In this session we’ll also go over a bunch of the key eCommerce terms you’ll need to get familiar with in order to run a successful online business.
Your homework this week will be to fill in the business planning document that will be provided to you at the end of this session.

Platform or Marketplace?
Choosing the best solution for your business
In this session we’ll look at the differences between platforms and marketplaces. We’ll discuss the pro’s and con’s of each eCommerce solution, and we’ll talk about the different success strategies required to start generating revenue in general.

How to get started in a week or less!
In this session we’ll discuss branding yourself, the DIY approach to website building, where you can find templates for your graphics, how to create a digital marketing plan, where to learn more about digital marketing, and how to find your audience online.

Metrics & Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
What you need to pay attention to vs. what you don’t…
In this session we’ll go over the metrics you need to pay attention to, the steps to creating a successful workflow for eCommerce, and how you can start to determine the actions that are generating the most revenue.

Finding your audience & getting your first sales
In this session we’ll go over keyword and market research strategies. We’ll also look at helfpul tools (free and paid) you can use to determine where your audience spends their time online and how to make sure you get in front of them.

Apps, social media & eCommerce advertising
In this session we’ll go over growth strategy. Here you’ll choose whether you need social media (and which accounts, if so), how you’ll consistently grow your audience and your sales, and the do’s / don’ts of digital advertising.
